Does the Flex Belt® work?

When I was approached to try the Flex Belt® out I was a bit a lot skeptical..I thought it was just another company trying to sell the "get a 6 pack abs in 2 minutes without working out" machine to those who didn't want to work out or work for it but after watching the videos on their website and researching the product, I became intrigued about the product and the studies that were done by professors of Exercise Science, check it out....







Flex Belt® Unboxing (aka What I got in the Flex Belt® Box)
-The Flex Belt®(has 3 electrical connections points: which are covered by the 3 gel pads, one on the left, one on the right to focus on the obliques, and then one to sit below or above your belly button), and a flap that houses the controller unit
-Charge to charge the battery
-A getting started guide(The getting started guide is a great tool because it gives you a monthly schedule that you can follow telling you what level,  how long, etc...)

Here's how it works:
-The unique construction of the Flex Belt® features three pre-positioned, medical-grade Gel Pads, covering the central abdominals and external obliques.
-During your toning session, signals from the Flex Belt® reach out to nerves where they are most concentrated.
-These nerves branch out to all of the stomach muscles causing them to contract and relax naturally, working all of the muscles at the same time, not just those directly under the gel pads.

My thoughts:
I love love love it, and I honestly have noticed a change in my midsection(which is the hardest body part for me to change/shape/work out) my husband has even commented on how many abs are becoming more defined!!!  

A couple things:
  • This is a supplemental "machine" for me.  I work out 6 days a week with Crossfit and this has been a great addition to those workouts.  I don't know if I would get the same results if I just sat around and used this and I don't really plan on trying it that way either:)
  • I don't wear the belt while working out, I sweat too much, so after I do my workouts I shower and then wear the belt while I am getting ready
  • I found that wearing the belt and progressing through each level was comfortable
  • I would recommend this to anyone and everyone because of the results I have seen with my abs.  Do I have a 6 pack..hell no, will I probably ever...no, but I feel this at least is helping tone up some of those underlying muscles that I might not hit with my workouts.
