Rolling with the punches

Yesterday started off right...

Went to class...
Wished Kyle a Happy Birthday(34) with the boys
Ate a yummy breakfast of chicken sausage, eggs, tomatoes, spinach and a plum
Lunch was a sweet potato with some chicken and carrots (doesn't look like much but it was good)
Snack included some Justin's Almond Butter and a banana (that nut butter is phenomenal)

And here is where they day went wacky about the time we were heading home...
because of ice and snow warnings we were having..on May 2nd....
two days after we had 80 degree weather....
only in Iowa I guess.....

1. We were supposed to go to Texas Roadhouse to celebrate Kyle's birthday.... instead opted not to chance the weather and our safety and got some "bar food" from our local bar here in town...

2. We were going to hit up WalMart for FFN(family fun night..insert back story) (I know...party animals) for some more garden essentials but not doing any gardening until this weather cooperates

3. Bubba and Kyle ended up heading in to watch my nephew at his Spring Concert while Big E went to bed and I cleaned around the house and did some paperwork and filing (again...party animals)
My "paleo" version of supper...hamburger, bacon, avocado, ketchup with a couple french fries on the side....I feel that avocado just makes everything better:)

So tonight, we just rolled with the punches, and that is fine because we ended up having a great family night together... Kyle turned 34 ..I had made him his German Chocolate Birthday cake...and all was right with the world...

and the kicker...there ended up being no ice or snow!!!!
