Pressure Cooking

Lindsay over at theLeanGreen peaked my curiosity when she posted about making, preparing, and freezing beans after she cooked them in her pressure cooker.  I researched the concept and pretty much came to the conclusion I had to have this in my kitchen, and "Pressy" and I are like this....

Isn't she pretty.  First meal cooked...pork loin....

In the first picture the pork loin is browning a bit first, and then all I had to do, put some liquid in the bottom, lock the top, and presto, bamo, kazam, 20 minutes later(while we were playing outside) we had a juicy, tender pork loin waiting for us. (I don't really eat meat, except for chicken and fish, just doesn't work with my stomach , but I sampled and thought it was so good.)

I have only started on my pressure cooking journey. On the list.... black beans to cook and freeze.... and chicken breasts in for Sunday meal prep. I will be documenting more of my pressurized journey and recipes so stay tuned!

My son's plate....I love that he just piles the lettuce and vegetables on his plate #fitfluential 5 year old

F.Y.I...I went with the Cuisinart because of the timing feature on it, and the ease of which it operates..and it helped that I also had a gift card and a coupon for our local outlet mall store...
