A little preparation makes the morning go so much easier

I am so proud of myself today. Last night my husband and 4 year old took off on the four wheeler to go visit some relatives across the section(I sound so country don't I) and my 5 month old had already conked out for the night. I had time on my hands and whey protein to use so I decided to make some protein waffles for the next morning after my workout. A couple whirls with the whisk and voila'...protein waffles. And they are so good..I love making them with BSN Lean Dessert protein.  The flavors are delicious!

After a "butt kicking" BootCamp workout this morning, it was so nice to come home, shower, and pop theses babies in the toaster while I was getting ready.  Dressed them up with a little unsweetened natural applesauce and I was out the door.

So where are the pictures throughout this process....totally forgot.  Here is what they looked like, almost exactly only with applesauce on top!
           .

I will get better at pictures I promise.  For now, here is the recipe

                                                                     Dry Ingredients:

2 cups oat flour(I use my magic bullet and make my own from oatmeal)
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
1 scoop(30g) of whey protein
2 tablespoons of flax seed/chia seed

Wet Ingredients:
4 egg whites
2 cups of almond unsweetened milk or milk of your choice
1 tsp of vanilla

I also add some kind of fruit in here, last night it was blueberries....
Mix all together, and begin “waffling”

TaTa for now.  Got 4.5 miles in last night in the Fitness Collaborative Hotter than Hades 1/2 marathon. Woohoo!
