2 weeks postpartum and my body is screaming for a workout

I had a great pregnancy, gained 16 pounds, had a natural birth, with no tearing.  Doctor told me upon discharge that I could start exercising when I felt like it.  Well, I feel like it now.  So Monday marked the "I want this baggy sack on the front of my belly to go away fast" start up.  Nothing hardcore yet, because things are still getting adjusted to not having a baby in the belly.  I am hoping to post my workout everyday here and what I ate for the day.

Mondays workout
20 minutes elliptical, weight loss setting
10 minutes walking on treadmill, 2% incline, 4.0 pace
Abs
Single leg planks 3 sets of 20
Single leg circles 3 sets of 20
Quarter crunches 3 sets of 20
Abs are a little weak so these exercises are building up...

Breakfast: Cereal(Honey Graham O's) with Almond Milk
Snack: Half a Zone protein bar
Lunch: Salad with Fat Free Italian Dressing
Snack: Other half a protein bar and a Greek Yogurt( not a huge fan, too thick for me)
Supper: Celebrated nephews birthday...slice of pizza, and a salad

Of course my weakness right now is Pretzel M&M's so I had some of those at the 3 oclock sugar craving.  I am working on cutting this out, but I only had 4 so I think I am okay.  See you in a couple of hours with Tuesdays workout and meals.

  1. Ummm, first of all I know you and you have NOTHING to worry about. You'll be running that marathon in no time.
