Well, we have to have surgery...

Yes, you read that right. Bryson has to have surgery on his hand. He has always had a little bump on his hand since he was born and we (the doctors) weren't concerned with it. We knew there was a possibility that it would get bigger, and it has. Went to the doctor, she had no idea what it was so she sent us to a specialist. Evidently this happens to a lot of people but he has veins that are growing onto the arteries in his hand and forming a clot of hardened veins..I don't know really how to explain it, the doctor tried to dumb it down as well as she could for me. Anyways, we have to go to surgery on Wednesday to have it removed. We could leave it but it could get bigger and be really bothersome for him.
It should be pretty quick and painless and I think I will be more distraught about the whole ordeal more than Bubbas. I already want to cry thinking about it. The doctor said we need to keep it dry for at least 3 days...I have a 2 year old, I am only one woman and I cannot perform miracles...but I will do my best.
Busy weekend for us again. My wonderful mother is coming down to visit and watch Bryson while we attend the Hawkeye game on Saturday. Love her! My dad is on call for the ambulance crew so he won't be able to make it.
Have a great weekend!
